Lighting The Way To Better Birth

I've had two terrific birth experiences but nearly all of my circle of friends have had their babies surgically removed. The REAL benefits of midwifery care are difficult to explain - how do you explain something that is exhilarating, life-changing, empowering and so utterly filled with love and joy? You can't really. But having a GREAT birth sets you on a high you can't really imagine until you've experienced it. If this is how I feel, I figure my babies are feeling much the same way. So it's good for mother and baby. The fact I had to PAY FROM MY OWN POCKET to have this type of care for my second child is annoying - the evidence shows it is SAFER, healthier, and more cost effective so why won't the Govt let us choose our own carer? It's about time women can chose where and with whom they birth. Great message, great ad!
