The modern maternity care system is in disarray... with overservicing, high intervention, and high cost.
Midwives, working alongside the women they serve, will light the way to better birth.
right on! come on
right on! come on Australian government! this issue has been ignored for far too long.
i was basically forced to go and birth my children in hospital when what i really wanted to do was have a midwife and birth at home!
midwives need to be acknowledged, respected and funded to provide the care that pregnant and birthing women need.
