Lighting The Way To Better Birth

The modern maternity care system is in disarray... with overservicing, high intervention, and high cost.
Midwives, working alongside the women they serve, will light the way to better birth.
Is this the most important issue we face as a nation?
This is an important issue, but when we have issues like
the climate crisis,
people having their protection from unfair dismissal taken away from them,
Aboriginal children having their private parts invaded by government doctors,
a lack of marriage equality for same sex couples,
the continued occupation of iraq
a growing divide between the extremely rich and the working poor all over the world,
and a psychopath in the Whitehouse declaring wars randomly
When we have all that going on, should we be putting our resources into something
which will not help take votes away from conservatives and give them to
progressive parties???
No major party has released a policy on this and I frankly can't imagine it being in the top 10 concerns of most swing voters.
There is a climate crisis we need to prepare for.
