At the tail end of her day, a single mother unwittingly carries out small acts of blindness, inaction and apathy. It takes a small gesture from a small person to set wheels in motion.

This spot was independently financed without the assistance of any funding bodies, production companies or advertising agencies. I am not yet a professional director and made this happen with incredible assistance at all levels. We had a largely professional crew working at reduced rates, in some places eschewing fees entirely. They all, however, clicked with GetUp! and the need for Australians to really create the change we wish to see. The problems we face aren't from evil people in high places, but are the results of trillions of global acts that in many instances are thought-less. The solution to this comes from the very same wellspring: trillions of small acts that are thought-full.
